By using Nautilus you agree to the following terms. They're written to be readable, not to bury important details in legal boilerplate.
Nautilus is a dive log app. It downloads data from Bluetooth dive computers, stores your dive history, and lets you browse and edit your logs. When you create an account, your data is encrypted and backed up to our server so you can access it across devices.
Creating an account lets you back up your data, add friends via buddy codes, upload photos, and submit dive spots and dive centers. You can sign in with Apple, Google, or email. You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this permanently removes all your data from our server and your device.
Nautilus is a logbook, not safety equipment. It does not replace dive training, certification, a working dive computer, or common sense. Scuba diving carries inherent risk. You are solely responsible for your safety underwater. Always verify dive data independently, follow established safety protocols, and never dive beyond your training.
The app reads data from your dive computer as faithfully as possible, but we cannot guarantee that every value transferred over Bluetooth is perfectly accurate. Transmission errors, firmware differences, and unsupported fields can all affect the result. Treat the app as a convenient record, not as a certified instrument.
Your dive logs are stored locally on your device and encrypted before being backed up to our server. You can export your data at any time. If you delete your account, all server-side data is permanently erased. We recommend using the export feature to keep a personal copy.
The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will be bug-free or uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to data loss, equipment damage, or diving incidents.
No dive data or personal information is shared with any of these services beyond what is described above.
These terms may be updated with future app releases. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
